Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. (1 box) light brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    3 Tbsp. white corn syrup
    1/4 lb. butter
    2/3 c. water
    pinch of salt
    2 c. broken pecans
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a heavy saucepan. Cook until syrup reaches soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat and cool slightly.
    Add vanilla and beat until it begins to thicken. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
