Cinnamon Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. red hots
    2 small pkg. lemon Jell-O
    2 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve red hots in 1/2 cup boiling water.
    Dissolve lemon Jell-O in 2 cups boiling water.
    Add red hot mixture, applesauce and lemon juice to Jell-O mixture.
    Let ingredients set until syrupy (approximately 30 minutes).
    Pour into Jell-O mold or bowl. Fold in small pieces of cream cheese and chopped nuts. Refrigerate until set.
    Serves 6 to 10 people.
