Spiced Winter Fruit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (17 oz.) can apricot halves, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can pear halves, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can peach slices, drained
    1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
    1 (15 oz.) jar applesauce
    1/4 c. sherry
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Arrange first 4 ingredients in layers in an ungreased 3-quart baking dish; set aside.
    Pour applesauce in a small saucepan; cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
    Stir in sherry, cinnamon and nutmeg; pour over fruit.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 8 servings.
