Mashed Potato Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 c. scalded milk
    1/4 c. liquid shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    2 beaten eggs
    5 to 6 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Let scalded milk cool.
    Add remaining ingredients and 5 cups of flour.
    Add flour as needed. Let rise in warm area for 30 minutes.
    Roll out dough.
    Cut into doughnuts.
    Fry.
