Grandma'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour, sifted
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1/2 lb. butter or oleo
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    1 3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Blend shortening with hot water and sugar.
    Add oleo, eggs (one at a time), flour and milk.
    Beat all together for 2 minutes.
    Add vanilla and lemon extract.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 60 minutes.
    Use well-floured, greased angel food pan.
