Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 qt. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. soda
    paraffin wax (1/2-inch cube)
Preparation
    Put in deep vessel and cook until mixture threads (sugar, water and syrup).
    Add peanuts; cook until they pop.
    Remove from heat; add soda and wax.
    Stir well.
    Pour in pans thinly.
    Break into pieces when cool.
    Be sure to butter pans before pouring in mixture.
