Crispy Top Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 stick margarine
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
1 Tbsp. Crisco shortening
Preparation

Cream together sugar, margarine and butter in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl combine eggs, milk, vanilla flavoring and lemon juice (optional).
Sift plain flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
Alternate adding small amounts of milk and egg mixture to sugar and butter with small amounts of flour with a medium speed mixer until completely mixed.
Add shortening and mix thoroughly.
Pour into preoiled and floured tube cake pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
