Skillet Braised Pork Chops Italian Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 loin pork chops, about 1-inch thick
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce with mushrooms
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, cut in 6 slices
Preparation
    Cut fat from edge of a chop and rub it over the bottom of a skillet to grease it.
    Discard fat.
    Add chops and brown on both sides.
    Add tomato sauce and oregano.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until fork-tender.
    During last 5 minutes, top each chop with a slice of cheese.
