Ingredients

3 c. milk
1/3 c. raisins
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/3 c. uncooked rice
Preparation

In a saucepan, bring milk to a boil.
Stir in rice and raisins.
Cover; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes, or until most of the milk is absorbed.
Stir in sugar and vanilla.
Spoon into dishes; sprinkle with nutmeg.
Makes 5 to 6 servings.
