Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white Karo
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. water
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites stiff or
    until
    they will not fall out of bowl.
    Boil sugar and water until soft ball forms in water. Pour small amount over egg
    whites.
    Boil
    some\tmore and pour over egg whites.
    Continue
    the process until last syrup forms a hard ball. Add remaining
    syrup
    to egg whites.
    Beat until the gloss is gone.
    Drop
    on
    waxed
    paper
    by tablespoonfuls. Pecans can be added just before the glossiness is gone.
