Strawberry Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Duncan Hines golden sugar cookie mix
    1 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 egg white
    3/4 c. strawberry preserves
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 9-inch square pan.
    Combine cookie mix, lemon peel and cinnamon in a large bowl.
    Add contents of buttery flavor packet from mix and egg white.
    Stir until thoroughly blended.
    Press half of the dough into pan.
    Spread with preserves.
    Make ropes with remaining dough to form lattice top over preserves.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 32 minutes or until golden.
    Cool completely.
    Dust with confectioners sugar.
    Cut into bars.
    Yields 16 bars.
