Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small or 1 large pkg. strawberry gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 pt. frozen strawberries
    2 bananas, sliced
    8 oz. sour cream
    1 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add frozen strawberries to gelatin mixture; stir as they dissolve.
    Add pineapple and bananas.
    Place 1/2 of mixture in dish; chill until firm.
    Spread sour cream over chilled layer.
    Add remaining strawberry mixture; chill until firm.
    If not using promptly, banana slices should be dipped in lemon juice to prevent darkening.
    NutraSweet gelatin may be used.
