Ingredients

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 1/4 c. oatmeal (mix in blender until it turns to powder; measure first, then blend)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 oz. bag chocolate chips
2 oz. milk chocolate, grated
3/4 c. nuts, chopped or 1 c. coconut and 3/4 c. Macadamia nuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter and sugars.
Add egg and vanilla.
Mix together flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda.
Combine wet and dry ingredients.
Add either chocolate chips, grated chocolate and nuts or you can add coconut and Macadamia nuts.
Make golf ball sized cookies and bake on ungreased cookie sheets 2-inches apart for 6 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Do not overbake.
Makes about 2 dozen chewy, soft cookies.
