Lamb Shanks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lamb shanks
    1 tsp. dill
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. rosemary
    1 large clove garlic
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 c. water plus 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Place shanks in roaster.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover. Bake 3 hours at 300\u00b0.
    Remove cover.
    Continue cooking for 30 minutes.
    Pour sauce into saucepan.
    Reduce to half over high heat.
    Chill and remove fat.
    Take meat off bones.
    Add sauce. Heat.
    Serve with rice.
