Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Put first 4 ingredients in a heavy black iron frying pan. Bring to a boil on medium heat, stirring well.
    This mixture scorches easily, so watch it.
    Cook until peanuts start browning, begin to pop and smells good, then remove from heat and add soda. Stir well and pour out on 2 well buttered cookie sheets.
    Use a spatula to smooth and spread it down.
