Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
1 Tbsp. corn syrup
1 c. dates, chopped
1 c. nuts, chopped
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 tsp. vanilla
coconut
Preparation

Melt the margarine in a pan.
Stir in the sugar, egg, corn syrup, dates and nuts.
Cook until thick (about 20 minutes). Remove from heat; cool slightly.
Add the Rice Krispies and vanilla.
Make into balls.
Roll in coconut.
These keep well in refrigerator.
Very festive.
