Mary'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. hamburger, seared and drained
    1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
    4 (15 1/2 oz.) cans Brooks chili beans
    water
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. ground oregano
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. onion flakes
    1/2 tsp. minced garlic
    1 tsp. paprika
    2 Tbsp. masa harina
Preparation
    Mix all the ingredients, except masa harina, in a large cooking pot.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Mix masa harina in warm water and add to the chili toward the end of the cooking time.
    Let chili simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
    Add red pepper, if desired.
