Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. bacon drippings
jalapeno pepper, diced
6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1 c. cream-style corn
2 eggs
3/4 c. grated cheese
3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift together the dry ingredients.
Blend remaining ingredients; add dry mixture.
Heat a small amount of oil in a large heavy skillet or an 11 x 8-inch pan.
Add cornbread batter. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
