Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco or 1 stick margarine
    3 c. cake flour or plain
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 sticks butter
    8 eggs (beat one at a time)
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice or flavoring
Preparation
    Cream sugar, butter and Crisco until creamy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add flour with baking powder.
    Mix well but not overbeat.
    Pour into a tube pan which has been well-greased and floured.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
