2 pkg. dry yeast
2 1/2 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Cornmeal
1 egg, beaten
Preparation
-
In large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add sugar, salt, oil and 3 cups flour.
Beat vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes.

Add flour as needed, knead and allow to rest, four more times.
Grease 2 large baking sheets, sprinkle with cornmeal and set aside.
Divide dough in two.
Roll each into a 12 x 9 inch rectangle, then roll like a jelly roll. Pinch to seal.
Let rise 30 minutes.
Make 3 slits across the top. Brush with egg.
Bake 25 - 30 minutes at 400\u00b0 or until brown. Makes 2 loaves.
