Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. black walnuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add egg yolks and mix.
    Add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk.
    Beat well together. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and nuts.
    Bake for 40 minutes at 375\u00b0 in a 9-inch cake pan.
