Chocolate Covered Cherries - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
2 boxes powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
evaporated milk
8 sq. unsweetened chocolate or chocolate chips
1/2 block paraffin wax
maraschino cherries
Preparation

Cream butter and sifted sugar.
Knead for a long time until mixture is very stiff.
Add vanilla.
Wait until it is rather crumbly after mixing; add a few drops of milk, a little at a time, until mixture is thickened smooth.
Drain cherries.
Take a level teaspoonful of fondant in hand; flatten into a cup shape and place cherry in middle.
Smooth over cherry.
Place on waxed paper in refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes.
Melt paraffin wax and chocolate together.
Take cherry filled fondant and dip in chocolate.
Place on wax paper.
