Ambrosia Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large apples
    3 large oranges
    3 large bananas
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. flake coconut (reserve 1/2 c.)
    8 or 10 maraschino cherries, quartered
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well.
    Top with 1/2 cup coconut, reserved, and add a few cherries and nuts.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
