Western Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh broccoli florets
    1 medium tomato chopped
    1 16 oz. can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
    1 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. ranch dressing
    3/4 c. red onion
Preparation
    Place 1 inch of water and broccoli in a skillet and bring to a boil. Boil one minute, cover and remove from heat. Let stand
    3 to 4 minutes or until
    crisp-tender. Drain and pat dry. In a serving bowl toss broccoli, tomatoes, beans, onions, cheese and salt. Drizzle with ranch dressing. Toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until ready to be served.
