Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1 well beaten egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
4 Tbsp. butter or oleo
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Sift flour once.
Measure.
Add baking powder and sift again. Cream butter.
Add sugar gradually; cream.
Add beaten egg, then flour alternately with milk.
Beat in heavy skillet.
Melt 4 tablespoons butter.
Add 1 cup brown sugar.
Stir until melted. Add 1 cup pineapple or enough slices to cover bottom of skillet (or peaches or apricots).
Place cherry in the center of each slice, if desired.
Pour batter over mixture.
Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
