Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. popped corn
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
Preparation
    Place popped corn
    in
    a
    large bowl.
    Melt butter in a heavy saucepan; add
    sugar
    and
    molasses and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and
    boil
    gently
    without
    stirring
    for
    3
    to 5 minutes until it reaches 290\u00b0 or hard crack stage.\tWhen a bit of syrup dropped into
    a
    cup
    of
    cold
    water
    turns hard and brittle. Pour syrup\tin
    a thin stream over popcorn, stirring with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
    Try to cover as much of corn as possible with
    syrup.
    Cool\tenough to handle.
    Press into balls with buttered hands.
