Old-Time Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or 1 stick margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 whole eggs
1 tsp. corn meal
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Soften butter to room temperature.
Beat in sugar and eggs. When these three are linked together as one, sprinkle corn meal, vanilla and vinegar over top of mixture.
Beat until well mixed. Pour into an unbaked pie shell (8 or 9-inch).
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until filling has set.
