Peppermint Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. box vanilla wafers, crushed
    2 (10 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
    2 c. powdered sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. margarine
    1/2 gal. peppermint ice cream
Preparation
    Melt 2/3 cup margarine and add to (all but 1/3 cup) vanilla wafer crumbs.
    Press on bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Melt 1/2 cup margarine and chocolate squares in microwave and set aside. Beat egg whites and set aside.
    Beat egg yolks, then add chocolate mixture, powdered sugar and vanilla.
    Beat in egg whites. Cook this mixture until it begins to boil. Boil 1 to 2 minutes. Spread this over crust and freeze for 10 to 20 minutes.
    Add softened ice cream and sprinkle with remaining 1/3 cup wafer crumbs and freeze.
