Ingredients

2 c. oil
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
6 1/4 c. flour
3 tsp. vanilla
6 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Mix together oil, sugar and eggs.
Mix and add to first mixture the buttermilk and baking soda.
Next, add flour, vanilla and baking powder.
Put small amount of batter on a greased cookie sheet. It will be runny, but should round up and raise when baked. If not, add a little more flour to the batter.
Check batter by baking one cookie.
Continue this process until cookie rounds up and raises nicely.
Bake at 450\u00b0.
Tops can be sprinkled with colored sugar before baking.
Cookies can be frosted with favorite flavor after cookies cool.
Yield:
6 to 8 dozen.
