Williamsburg Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can apple pie filling
    lemon juice
    cinnamon
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Melt butter in 7 x 11 x 2-inch pan.
    Combine sugar, flour, baking powder and milk to make batter.
    (If batter is too stiff, add a little more milk.)
    Pour over melted butter.
    Mix apple pie filling with lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins to taste.
    Smooth gently over batter.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
    Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Serves 8.
