Juanita Backus' Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate morsels, melted
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and butter over hot water.
    Mix sugar with eggs and beat until lemon-colored.
    Add flour, baking powder and salt, which have bene sifted together 3 times.
    Mix in chocolate.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Pour into greased wax paper lined pan, size 10 x 7-inch.
    When baked, cut at once into 2-inch squares.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
