Orange Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. buttermilk
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.
Mix ingredients together and bake at 350\u00b0.
