1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. fat-free egg substitute or 4 white eggs
1/2 c. old-fashioned or quick oats
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. pureed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
1/4 c. raisins*
1 banana, chopped

Applesauce tends to give a \"time-released\" moistness to these bars. Simmons writes that the flavor and texture actually improve upon standing. Walnuts can be substituted in this recipe.
