Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    7/8 c. white Karo syrup
    3/4 c. water
    1 egg white
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cook sugar, Karo and water to
    soft ball.
    Pour half of syrup slowly over stiffly
    beaten egg white, beating constantly.
    Return rest of syrup to fire and cook to hard ball.
    Pour slowly over egg white mixture while continuing to beat.
    Beat for 3 to
    5 minutes.
    Add
    chopped nuts.
    Pour into well-buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
    When
    cold, cut and store in airtight container.
