Chili Bean Dip - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. minced onion
1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
1/2 c. catsup
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cumin
dash of cayenne
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, diced
Preparation

Cook beef in skillet until it loses its red color, stirring to crumble.
Drain fat; add onion and cook until onion is tender. Add undrained beans and mash with fork to blend with meat.
Stir in catsup, chili powder, salt, cumin and cayenne.
Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in cheese until melted. Serve hot as a dip with corn chips or other chips, Melba toast or crackers; or pile the hot mixture in miniature tart shells.
Makes 2 1/2 cups of dip.
