Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 onions, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 can tomatoes
    1/2 can tomato paste
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1/4 green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. parsley
    2 tsp. thyme
    1 lb. boiled ham, diced
    2 lb. peeled, deveined boiled shrimp
    3 c. cooked rice
    salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter until tender.
    Add tomatoes and tomato paste and cook 5 minutes, stirring.
    Add seasons, chopped very fine.
    Cook 1/2 hour, stirring frequently.
    Stir in ham and cook for about 5 minutes longer.
    Add shrimp and continue cooking another 5 minutes.
    Stir in cooked rice and season.
    Simmer for about 1/2 hour, stirring frequently.
