Ingredients

1 c. sugar
6 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs
3 Tbsp. melted Crisco
4 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. milk
deep frying oil
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Beat eggs, milk and Crisco together. Stir into dry ingredients.
Blend well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil in deep fryer.
Cook until golden brown.
Drain on paper towel lined cookie tray or dish.
Dust with granulated sugar, confectioners sugar or a mix of cinnamon and sugar.
Makes 42 to 48 doughnut holes.
