Almond Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 3/4 to 2 c. almonds (whole, with skins)
    1 (16 oz.) bag chocolate chips
    1 1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy pan.
    Stir in sugar and almonds.
    Cook over medium heat for 8 to 12 minutes.
    Stir so sugar dissolves and almonds pop.
    Pour out into cookie sheet.
    Spread about 1/2-inch deep.
    Cover with chocolate chips.
    Spread evenly when melted. Cool.
    Break into pieces.
