Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels (about 50)
    2/3 c. evaporated milk (divided use)
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. butter, melted
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk in top of double boiler over barely simmering water. Stir frequently. Combine cake mix with melted butter and remaining 1/3 cup milk.
    Spread 1/2 of the cake mixture into pan.
    Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
    Drizzle melted caramels over top; cover with remaining cake batter.
    Continue baking for 15 minutes until brownies are firm to touch.
