Black Sapote Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. sapote pulp
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla well.
Stir in 3 tablespoons buttermilk and sapote pulp.
Sift together
flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Mix in raisins and nuts.
Pour into waxed paper lined pans.
Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0.
