Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. pumpkin
    2/3 c. water
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. raisins or chopped dates
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly; add eggs, pumpkin and water and mix. Sift together dry ingredients and add to pumpkin mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins (or dates) and bake in 2 greased loaf pans at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
