Cheesy Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion
1/2 c. diced celery
6 Tbsp. flour
2 c. chicken broth
1/2 lb. sharp or medium Cheddar cheese, diced
pepper, garlic powder, seasoned salt and parsley (all seasoned to taste)
1 c. carrots
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 c. milk
1/2 c. cooked broccoli pieces
Preparation

Melt margarine or butter in kettle. Saut onions, carrots and celery until tender.
Add the flour and blend until mixture looks golden. Slowly add the milk; stir until there are no lumps. Add broth, cheese and broccoli pieces. Cook on simmer for 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. If you wish, you may use uncooked broccoli pieces and simmer for 1 hour or so until broccoli is tender.
