Potato Soup(Originally From Flossie Ferch) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. medium chopped onion
    1 medium potato per person (at least 5 to 6)
    1 can of canned milk
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine softened
    2 Tbsp. flour
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste
Preparation
    Peel potatoes, quarter length wise, and slice thinly.
    Put potatoes and onions in a 4 quart sauce pan and add water just to cover.
    Add salt to taste.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until the smallest potato slices begin to fall apart.
