Panned Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. shredded cabbage
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Melt the butter or margarine in a heavy skillet.
Add the cabbage; cover tight and let cabbage steam over low heat for 10 minutes.
Stir now and then to prevent sticking.
Season with salt and pepper.
The cabbage gives enough of its own water to make steam and will have a wonderful color and texture cooked this way. This makes 4 to 6 servings.
