Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. 100% Bran
2 c. All-Bran
1 pt. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar (slight measure)
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pour boiling water over 100% Bran; set aside.
Cream sugar and shortening.
Sift together salt, soda and flour.
Add beaten eggs to creamed shortening and sugar.
Add soaked 100% Bran.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk, alternating stirring in All-Bran.
Put in covered container in refrigerator.
Can be kept and used for 2 or 3 weeks.
