Hot Chicken Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt, divided
    1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 c. cubed cooked chicken
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    2 tsp. grated onion
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 (4 oz.) jar pimiento, drained and chopped
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. crushed potato chips
Preparation
    Combine flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Cut in shortening with 2 knives or a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
    Add 1/2 cup cheese and water; stir until mixture forms a ball.
    Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness on a lightly floured board.
    Fit into a 9-inch pie pan; crimp edges to seal.
    Prick bottom and sides of pastry with a fork.
    Bake at 475\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
