Layered Vegetable Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced carrots
    2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 green pepper, cut into strips
    1 can green beans, drained
    1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. tapioca
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. cracker crumbs
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Arrange carrots, celery, green pepper and beans in layers in buttered casserole dish.
    Combine tomatoes, tapioca, sugar and seasonings in a saucepan.
    Heat.
    Pour over vegetables.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from oven.
    Sprinkle with cracker crumbs and top with melted butter.
    Return to oven and bake, uncovered, about 1 hour.
    Serves 15.
