Beer Soup(Bier Suppe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bottle beer
    1 bottle water
    pinch of salt
    2 bottles milk
    1 egg, beaten
    sugar to taste
Preparation
    In a 4-quart kettle, pour a bottle of beer and an equal amount of cold water and a pinch of salt.\tUse the beer bottle as a measure.
    In another kettle, pour milk plus water.\tBring both to boiling point, but do not boil.
    Add beaten egg to the milk.
    Now pour the contents
    from
    one kettle to the other, 6 or 8 times to prevent curdling.
