Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 c. boiling water
    4 c. strawberries, mashed
    3 medium bananas, mashed
    1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine gelatin and boiling water, stirring until dissolved.
    Stir in mashed berries and bananas, pineapple and pecans.
    Turn half the mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Chill until set, about 1 hour.
    Keep remainder at room temperature.
    Stir sour cream and spread it over strawberry mixture in dish.
    Spoon remaining gelatin mixture over sour cream layer.
    Cover; chill for several hours, or until firm.
    Cut into squares.
    Makes 12 to 16 servings.
