Velvet Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. scalded milk
    9-inch unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Mix together eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Slowly add the scalded milk. Pour into pie shell.
    Bake at 475\u00b0
    for 5 minutes. Then at 425\u00b0
    for 10 to 15 minutes or until set and knife in center comes out clean.
    This pie never gets watery.
